PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition for preventing or treating the disorders of gastrointestinal systems, such as digestive motion disorders related to irritable intestine syndromes, exanthema coprostasis and inflammatory intestinal disorders, by including melatonin or a melatoninergic ligand. SOLUTION: A medicine composition contains melatonin or one or more melatoninergic ligands. The ligands are especially preferably N-[2-(5-ethyl-1- benzothiophen-3-yl)ethyl]acetoamide. The medicine composition can be administered by an oral method, an injection method, an intranasal method, a percutaneous method, a rectal method, a sublingual method, an ocular method or a respiratory method at a dose of 0.1 mg to 1 g in 24 hours once or more.
