PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the diameter of an orifice hole, atomize the fuel, and improve the injection performance by forming an orifice plate for fuel injection by the electroforming method. SOLUTION: This fuel injection valve is provided with a valve seat member 7 in a small diameter cylindrical part 1B of a valve casing 1, and an orifice plate 15 is mounted on its tip side by a holding plate 17. The orifice plate 15 is formed as a sheet metal by the electroforming method, and its orifice hole is formed in the small diameter of about 0.05-0.14 mm. When a valve element 8 is opened by an electromagnetic coil 12, the atomized fuel is injected from the orifice hole of the orifice plate 15.
