PURPOSE: A method for accommodating large volume of subscribers in database management system of mobile communication exchange is provided to accommodate distributively a large volume of subscribes having four digit telephone numbers by accessing the subscriber's telephone number with a connection list. CONSTITUTION: An inquiry performing command of a database management system is determined according to the subscriber's location register information(ST10-ST11). Thereafter, when the inquiry is to select the subscriber's data from a memory as a database, the subscriber's data is directly withdrawn from the memory through a connection list on the basis of the specific value corresponding to the subscriber's data(ST12-ST17). When the inquiry is to insert the subscriber's data to the memory, a node is allocated from an index table for accessing the subscriber's storage region and the subscriber's data is inserted through the predetermined connection list(ST18-ST26). When the inquiry is to delete the subscriber's data from the memory, the subscriber's data is deleted through a connection list on the basis of the specific value of the subscriber's data, and then the storage region deleted subscriber's data and the corresponding connection list are deleted and simultaneously the deleted connection list is stored to the index table(ST27-ST33).
