PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify structure to improve assemblage in a damper with a car height adjusting mechanism with a reservoir chamber and a low pressure tank chamber additionally provided at a damper cylinder. SOLUTION: This damper 10 with a car height adjusting mechanism is constituted using a reservoir cartridge 104 formed as a cartridge type sub-assembly constituted by sealing a reservoir chamber 30 formed between a reservoir tube 102 and a damper cylinder 103, with a bottom plate 104A and a cover and providing a free piston 31 inside the reservoir chamber 30.
