PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the damping time of vibration caused by movement and fixation of a medical optical instrument, reduce operating time and lessen fatigue of a surgeon. SOLUTION: The supporting device is structured by connecting relatively rotatably a plurality of arm members 3 and 4 by rotating shafts O1, O2,... and supports movably or tiltably a medical optical instrument 12. In that case, a shock-absorbing mechanism made up of a displacement permitting and restoring means connecting the arm members 3 and 4 relatively rotating around the rotating shaft in a manner that allows them to be displaced, and restoring the relative positions of the arm members 3 and 4 to a prescribed positions, when a braking mechanism is in a braking state, is provided. |
