PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a transmission shift operating device compact and to reduce the number of parts thereof. SOLUTION: An electric motor 23 with a decelerator 24 rotating a shift shaft 21 of a transmission mechanically connected to a change lever is provided. The change lever is provided with an operating direction detecting switch a shift operating direction and an actuating position detecting means detecting an actuating position of the shift shaft 21 of the transmission. A controller controls driving of the electric motor 23 by an output signal from the operating direction detecting switch and the actuating position detecting means. An output shaft 46 of the decelerator 24 united to the electric motor 23 is connected to an outer lever 49 of the shift shaft 21 through an output lever 47 and a link rod 48. The decelerator 24 has a one step slowing-down structure using a worm gear.
