<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To input an optional trimming range and a position (trimming information) while a user watches an original picture displayed by a storing and displaying means, and to efficiently use the screen of the storing and displaying means, so that the picture can be confirmed or appreciated. SOLUTION: This picture display device 1 is provided with the storing and displaying means 10 such as a spatial optical modulation element storing a projected picture and displaying the stored picture, projecting means 13, 14, 15, 40, 3, 41 and 42 projecting the picture on the storing and displaying means, a trimming information input means 9 inputting the trimming information of the picture, and a control means variably setting the projecting condition (projecting magnification, projecting position, etc.), of the picture with respect to the storing and displaying means by the projecting means in accordance with the trimming information inputted by the trimming information input means.</p> |
