A novel elastomeric innerliner (20) forming an intermediate in the manufacture of a tubeless pneumatic tyre has no splice, is vulcanised and ring-shaped (36). Also claimed are: the corresponding method of making the tyre innerliner, using conventional techniques; methods of making a tubeless pneumatic tyre, in which a completely-assembled green tyre is formed, before inserting the innerliner, the assembled tyre is placed in a mould, and pressurised gas or liquid is introduced, directing it against the innerliner, forcing the tyre against the mould wall, to mould and vulcanise it; and a related method of making a retreaded tyre. |
