PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect abnormality with similar precision with respect to an output level even at the time of high output and low output while the ability of a servo system is high as it is. SOLUTION: The servo controller is provided with a current detection means detecting current flowing in a servo motor and with an overcurrent detection means comparing a detection current value detected by the current detection means with an overcurrent detection current value IO and detecting overcurrent. A current limiting means comparing a current command with the current limit, value IL of a prescribed level and limiting current flowing in the servo motor is installed and the overcurrent detection current value IO is varied in accordance with the value of a speed command D. When the controller operates at high speed, the overcurrent detection current value IO is raised, and the ability of the servo system is improved. When it is operated at low speed, the overcurrent detection current value IO is reduced and the sensitivity of current abnormality detection can sufficiently be improved with such constitution. |
