SOLUTION: In a private branch exchange 100 where the plurality of extension terminal machines 104-1 to 104-6 are installed, a holding control means 1022 stores speech information of a call in service into a storage area for a held number in call control data corresponding to an extension group 105-1, when the extension terminal machine 104-1 belonging to one extension group holes this call, and a holding response control means 1021 uses the held number of call control data to perform connection to response the held call, when the extension terminal machine 104-3 belonging to another extension group responds to the held call.
