<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the setting number of policies concerning a network parame ter and to permit a network manager to easily design network management based on the policies by measuring the network parameter concerning the net work and generating a network parameter setting value to be used for network control through the use of a function based on a the measurement value. SOLUTION: Each network parameter measuring instrument 1 measures the network parameter and reports a measurement value to a policy server 2. The policy server 2 calculates the network parameter setting value to be set by using the function, based on the measurement value and reports it to network equipment 4. Besides, function definition which is the form of the function including the order, coefficient or constants or the like for deciding the behaviour of mapping from a network parameter measurement value to the network setting value is set by a user as a part of the policy and stored in a directory or the like in a directory server 3 by the policy server 2.</p> |
