摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for positively controlling gram load added to a disk drive suspension assembly and to provide a disk device using the disk drive suspension assembly. SOLUTION: A disk drive suspension 20 uses a piezoelectric actuator 40 having two or more layers. When energized, some piezoelectric layers shrink and other piezoelectric layers expand and consequently each layer of the multilayered piezoelectric actuator is polarized so as to be in curling motion. A first end part and a second end part of the piezoelectric actuator are attached to different positions on a load beam 24 and a part of the piezoelectric actuator between the first end part and the second end part is kept to be not attached to the load beam and thereby force being not parallel to the load beam can be added to a head suspension 22.
