PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor deterioration over aging of optical parts within an optical-to- electrical transducer or an electrical-to-optical transducer for maintenance and to improve the reliability of a system by providing a redundant monitor control part automatically becoming a monitor control part to operate when a fault occurs in either opto-to-electrical transducer or electrical-to-optical transducer. SOLUTION: A first redundant monitoring control part 6 monitors the optical-to- electrical transducer and the electrical-to-optical transducer of a first monitor control part 1 and when a fault occurs in either the optical-to-electrical transducer or the electrical-to-optical transducer, and it automatically becomes a monitoring control part to operate. A second redundant monitoring control part 7 monitors the optical-to- electrical transducer and the transducer of a second monitoring control part 2, and when a fault occurs in either the optical-to-electrical transducer or the electrical-to- optical transducer, and it automatically becomes a monitoring control part to operate. The redundant monitoring control circuits of the parts 6 and 7 execute monitoring of the state of a main signal, the level control of the main signal, controlling of a repeating station 52, etc., based on an electric-monitor signal transduced by the optical- to-electrical transducer. |
