PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain optimization of cleaning conditions more surely and simply, and to reduce burdens of replacing work or the like on a user. SOLUTION: A photoreceptor 2, an electrifying member 9, a cleaning member 10 of the electrifying member 9, a holding member 11 housing the charging member 9, a supporting base 12 supporting the holding member 11, a driving means 15 driving a pair of springs 13 and 14, and the holding member, are housed in a single processing cartridge 8. This cleaning member 10 can be come into contact and noncontact with the electrifying member 9, so that it is shifted between the contact position coming into contact with the electrifying member 9 and the distance position being away from the electrifying member 9, by the driving means 15.
