PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inexpensive motor speed controller, which has a simple constitution and can be applied to both DC motors and three-phase AC motors, without changing the hardware configuration of the controller. SOLUTION: A motor speed controller controls the normal or reversible rotational speed of a DC motor 1 or a AC motor 2 by controlling the turn-on/off time of a plurality of switching elements 6a-8b connected between the positive electrode 30 and negative electrode 31 of a DC power source. The controller can switch the speed of the DC motor 1 or AC motor 2, by only controlling the turning-on/off time of the elements 6a-8b. |
