PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent data to be recorded in a digital video tape from missing by providing digital equipment with a function for detecting the execution of isochronous transfer and displaying the detected result. SOLUTION: A cycle start packet detection means 102 detects that isochronous transfer is being executed. A central processing unit(CPU) 100 including a memory function in its inside allows a signal to flow into a display device control circuit 103, by using as a trigger the start of isochronous transfer detected by the means 102. A display device 104, controlled by the circuit 103 has an LED function or a similar function and made and turns on or off. Once the isochronous transfer is started, detection of a cycle start packet by the means 102 is monitored so that it is executed within a fixed time.
