PURPOSE: A railroad vehicle body of the type having a grating structure which can limit design costs characteristic of each type is provided. CONSTITUTION: Vertical and lateral elements (15, 30, 35) are circular-cross-section pipes. A grating structure has connections (31, 36) for interconnecting the vertical pipes and lateral pipes of circular cross sections, at least on some of nodes. The connections (31, 36) have vertical and lateral circular-cross-section sleeves for receiving the vertical and lateral pipes (15, 30, 35), respectively. The vertical pipe (15) passes perpendicularly through the connections (31, 36) formed of the vertical and lateral pipes.
