PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize excess hydrogen energy in fuel electrode outlet gas of a fuel cell to enhance power generating efficiency. SOLUTION: Gas exhausted from a fuel electrode 1a of a cell stack 1 is supplied to an anode 2a of a hydrogen separator 2 to selectively separate hydrogen, the hydrogen is mixed with fuel gas supplied to a cathode 2b of the hydrogen separator 2, and thereby, hydrogen partial pressure of fuel gas being supplied to the fuel electrode 1a of the cell stack 1 from the cathode 2b is made higher than that of fuel gas before introducing into the cathode 2b to enhance fuel utilization factor in the cell stack 1. |
