PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera that the service life and the durability of a lens frame and parts other than it are enhanced and a lens cap can be opened with a smaller amount of extension power than the conventional amount. SOLUTION: This camera 10 is provided with a lens barrel 2, incorporating a photographing lens 31 moved to a collapsibly mounted position at non- photographing times and an extended position at photographing times in the lens frame 3. Moreover, it is provided with a lens barrier 1 which is a tiltable lens cap which is turned around a turning shaft 1b and opened and closed in fanlike form at a close position, where at least the front surface of the lens 3a is covered when the lens 3a is set at the collapsibly mounted position and an open position where the front surface of the lens 3a is exposed, when the lens 3a is set at the extended position and an abutting part 1c, a cap projecting part which is formed at a position equal to or higher than the lower end of the outside circumference of the lens frame 3 from the turning shaft 1b on the lens barrier and on which the frame 3 abuts.
