The method involves the substation(s) modulating the HF signal received from the base station and reflecting it back to the base station. The substation(s) encodes and modulates the HF signal received from the base station according to Code Division Multiple Access and reflects it as a response signal. Independent claims are also included for an arrangement for a substation for a network for wireless information transfer between a base station transmitting a narrowband HF signal and a t least one substation and for an information system for a machine with a number of sensors and/or actuators, esp. an automatic production machine.
