External preparations for dermatosis containing nitroimidazole derivatives o f general formula (I): wherein R1, R3 and R4 are each independently hydrogen, nitro, lower alkyl, substituted lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, or substituted lower alkenyl; and R2 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, substituted lower alkyl, low er alkenyl, or substituted lower alkenyl, with the proviso that one or more of R1, R3 and R4 are nitro.
