<p>A filtration device (90), apparatus (100), and method of filtration useful for filtering liquid samples are disclosed wherein filtration occurs opposite the direction of centrifugal force. The filtration device (90) is placed within a container (70) that contains the liquid sample to be filtered. Together, the filtration device (90) and the container (70) comprise the filtration apparatus (100). Centrifugation forces the liquid sample present in the container (70) to enter the filtration device (90), thereby effecting filtration. The vertical position of the filtration device (90) is fixed within this container (70) during filtration.</p> |
