LIQUID DISCHARGE HEAD AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a crosstalk between an orifice plate and a head body while preventing invasion of an adhesive resin into an orifice. SOLUTION: An orifice plate 4 having an orifice 12 corresponding to a channel 6 is joined to an end face of a head body 3 constituted of a top plate 2 and a substrate 1 with a heating element 5 for generating a heat energy to discharge ink. Joining auxiliary members 13 of a rubber modified resist are set to a join face of the orifice plate 4 to the head body 3 to surround at least the channel 6. An adhesive 14 is set on the joining auxiliary members 13. The joining auxiliary members 13 are deformed by pressuring and heating when the head body 3 and the orifice plate 4 are joined, thereby absorbing a step (d) of the head body 3.
