PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing slippage preventive device for a sewing machine capable of securely preventing the slippage of the upper fabric from the lower fabric in sewing thick fabrics superimposed on each other. SOLUTION: This sewing slippage preventive device 1 comprises a base board 2 to be attached to a sewing machine, a presser roller 5 attached to a position above the feed dog F of the sewing machine opposite to the base board 2 in such a way that it can rotate around a horizontal shaft, a movable presser plate 18 attached movable between a lower position for holding fabrics and an upper position for releasing the fabrics relative to the base board 2, and an interlocking mechanism for interlocking the movable presser board 18 and the needle N of the sewing machine, so that the movable presser plate 18 is located at the upper position while the needle N attached to the needle bar B is located above the fabrics and the movable presser plate 18 is at the lower position while the needle N is penetrating into the fabrics.
