<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fiber tailings from being generated and improve soft feeling to the skin by covering both faces of a synthetic resin sheet with continuous fibers and intermittently joining the synthetic resin sheet to the continuous fibers on both faces. SOLUTION: The composite sheet 1 comprises an upper and a lower layer 2, 4 and an intermediate layer 3 interposed between these two layers. The upper and the lower layer 2, 4 are formed of numerous continuous fibers which are thermoplastic synthetic fibers and are equally air-permeable to or more highly air-permeable than the intermediate layer 3, each of continuous fibers spreading, making an irregular curve on the upper and the lower face of the intermediate layer 3. Each of the continuous fibers is sometimes welded at a part where the fibers lie over other. The intermediate layer 3 is made up of an air-permeable and liquid impermeable thermoplastic synthetic resin sheet and the air-permeable and liquid impermeability of the intermediate layer 3 can be quantitatively represented in terms of air-permeability and degree of water resistance. The upper and the lower layer 2, 4 and the intermediate layer 3 are welded to each other at a region 11 intermittently formed on the composite sheet 1. Each of the layers 2-4 can be joined together by bonding with the help of ultrasonics, a hot melt adhesive or the like in addition to welding.</p> |
