PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buoyant material having a reduced stiff feeling in the wearing, and usable for a wearing article. SOLUTION: This buoyant material is composed of a nearly plate-shaped foamed plastic, and has bending parts having a flexural modulus smaller than that at another part so that the buoyant material may be bent at the bending part. Especially, the bending parts are formed by thin wall parts 8 having thinner thicknesses than another parts.
