PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mainly economize the quantity of reinforcements for the slab of a structure, and lengthen a span. SOLUTION: The elongation of tension reinforcements is interrupted by compressing concrete by crossed reinforcements fused by welding when the tension reinforcements of the welded wire fabric intend to elongate by external force. Crossed sections are only bound by binding wires in the normal arrangement of the reinforcements, and the reinforcements at the crossed sections have no restraint capable of compressing concrete. The sectional area of the tension reinforcement is calculated by dividing external force by allowable strength per 1 cm2 in conventional devices, but the calculation formula loses it meaning in the case of the welded wire fabric. Thus, the difficulty of elongation is numerated. The sectional area of the tension reinforcement of the welded wire fabric is calculated by an area, to which the area of the fused section of the reinforcement at the crossed section is added. Thus, a Young's modulus reaches the value of twice from 1.2 times of 2100 t/cm2.
