CONTAINER AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polypropylene foamed resin container and also its manufacturing method using the injection molding method. SOLUTION: Foamed polypropylene container is provided with the physical properties in which the ratio d/D between the depth (d) and the diameter D is 0.05-10, the thickness ration s/c between both skin layers (s) and a core layer (c) on the container wall is 0.05-2.0, and the bending modulus of the container wall thickness is 500-3000 MPa and its heat conductivity is 0.3-0.19 W/m.K. The container is manufactured by filling a cavity with a polypropylene resin containing a foaming agent and then foam molding while a mold core section is moved backward at the 0.1-100 mm/sec. speed within 5 second after the completion of the injection in a core-back type injection molding machine.
