PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide files, the cover part of each of which and a binding tool are easily separable from each other, which is durable and easy to handle and manufacture. SOLUTION: A fastener 6, in which a fastener main body 9 having a head part 11 at its upper part and an engaging part 13 at its lower part and a pin 10 engaged by being expanded outwards through the insertion in a hole 8 formed in the fastener main body 9, is provided so as to form the head part 11 of the fastener main body 9 into a tapered shape in order to put the inclined surface part 15 formed on the under surface of the head part 11 against the peripheral edge part 18 of the mounting hole in the mounting part of a binding tool to a file so that the head part 11 is made to scarcely project beyond the surface of the file through the deformation of the peripheral edge part 18. At the same time, a recessed part 27 is provided on the edge face part 26 of the pin 10 so as to realize the safe and easy drawing-out of the pin by pushing the inner surface of the recessed part, resulting in allowing to easily separate the cover part of the file from the binding tool.
