PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a can coating, particularly a coating for a can inner face having an excellent combination of adhesive properties to a metal plate, workability, curability, suppressed elution and the resistance to retorting sterilization process. SOLUTION: A can coating comprises (A) a thermoplastic polyester resin having a glass transition temperature of at least 65 deg.C, an acid value of not more than 15, a hydroxy number of not more than 20 and a number average molecular weight of at least 11,000, and (B) a heat curable resin comprising a heat curable benzoguanamine resin as a principal component, wherein a weight ratio of the (A) component/the (B) component is 90/10-55/45. The thermoplastic polyester resin (A) desirably comprises a polyester derived from a dibasic acid component comprising terephthalic acid as a main component and a glycol component. |
