PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the directional control in forward movement by providing a traveling drive unit for independently driving two drive wheels provided in parallel on a body in such a manner as to be rotatable within the horizontal plane. SOLUTION: A pair of drive motors 81, 82 is set within a traveling drive unit 10, and respective drive shafts 86, 87 are set in the state vertically protruded in opposite directions from the lateral side surfaces of a chassis 17. A support shaft 19 is provided protrusively to the lateral side surfaces of the chassis 17 in parallel to the drive shafts 86, 87, and wheels 83a, 83b are rotatably fitted to both ends of the support shaft 19. The wheels 83a, 83b are independently rotated according to the rotation of the drive shafts 86, 87, whereby this automatic guided vehicle is traveled. According to this, a loading work or unloading work can be performed in automatic traveling mode, and the direction can be changed even in a narrow space. |
