PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent eggs having the same weight from being fed continuously to an automatic packaging machine when eggs are to be shifted to and loaded onto a feed conveyor by an auto-loader from tray containing thirty eggs arranged in six rows and in five stages. SOLUTION: Under this method, for example, raw egg conveyors 2a, 2b are arranged on both sides of a feed conveyor 1 having twelve rows of egg seats, respectively, and auto-loaders 4a, 4b are respectively arranged between the raw egg conveyor 2a and the feed conveyor 1 and between the raw egg conveyor 2b and the feed conveyor 1. In this case, a tray 3a containing heavy eggs Ea is conveyed by the raw egg conveyor 2a on one side while a tray 3b containing light eggs Eb is conveyed by the raw egg conveyor 2b on the other side. Eggs arrayed in continuous three rows in each tray are formed as one group, and each group in each tray is shifted to and loaded onto the egg seats while being spaced apart by continuous three rows of the egg seats. Since three heavy eggs and three light eggs are alternately continued in each stage of the egg seats, the continuous feed of thirty eggs having the same weight in one tray, which has been performed under the conventional method, can be prevented.
