PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition excellent in selective absorbability of near-infrared light and selective transmittability of visible light, by including a component comprising a copper ion and specific two kinds of phosphate ester compounds, and/or a component comprising specific two kinds of compounds. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by including (A) a component comprising (i) a copper ion, (ii) a phosphate ester compound of formula I [X1 is an aryl(alkyl); j is 1 or 2], and (iii) a compound of formula II [X2 is each of formulas III-V (R1 is a 1-20C alkyl; R2 is H or a 1-4C alkyl; R3 is a 1-6C alkylene; m is 1-6) or the like; n is 1 or 2], and/or (B) a component comprising (iv) a phosphate ester copper compound obtained by reacting the component i with the component ii, and (v) a phosphate ester copper compound obtained by reacting the component i with the component iii. The formulating weight ratio of the component ii and/or the component iv to the component iii and/or the component v is pref. (10:90) to (90:10).
