PASSENGER CONVEYOR DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor device capable of automatically moving footsteps in either one of a prescribed direction or the other direction according to flow of passengers. SOLUTION: This device has footsteps 4 for carrying passengers, a first detecting device 7 for detecting passengers getting on the footsteps 4 from a getting on/off port 2, a second detecting device 8 for detecting passengers getting on the footsteps 4 from a getting on/off port 3 and an operation control device 9 outputting operation command signals W enforcing a normal direction control for selectively moving the footsteps 4 in an upper direction or a lower direction based on passenger detection signals outputted from the detecting devices 7, 8. The device is provided with a priority control means outputting signals enforcing a specified direction control for moving the footsteps 4 in a specified direction prior to the normal direction control. The priority control means is constituted of a train approach detecting device 12 outputting external signals inputted in the operation control device 9, a departure bell 13 and an operating device 14.
