PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the equipment cost, and to reduce the location space, and to facilitate the preparatory work of the shot-size material by cutting the long- size material and the short-size material with one cutting machine. SOLUTION: A shot-size material feeding table 11 is provided in a vertical saw machine 3 at a work carry-in side thereof, and a movable long-size feeding table 13 is provided in the shot-size material feeding table 11 at a work carry-in side thereof. At the time of cutting a short-size work W, the work W is placed on the short-size material feeding table 11 and carried for cutting, and at the time of cutting a long-size work W, the long-size material feeding table 13 is connected to the short-size material feeding table 11 for cutting. With this structure, both the short-size material and long-size material can be cut by one vertical band saw machine 3, and the equipment cost can be lowered and the location space can be reduced.
