PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded article not generating flash on the reference surface at the time of mounting to a holding member, and high in the stability of the mounting to the holding member, and a molding method thereof. SOLUTION: A fluidized material is injected in the cavity of a mold through a gate and cooled and solidified to be molded into a shape wherein a notch 28 is formed to a part of the reference surface 26a in the connection part of a part 24 formed into the shape of the gate to provide a planar part 26b having difference in level with respect to the reference surface 26a. This molded object is taken out of the mold and only the planar part 26b having difference in level with respect to the reference surface 26a is cut when the part 24 formed into the gate shape is cut and removed.
