摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for producing a storage phosphor screen which has a combination of advantage of such a screen having vacuum-deposited phosphor needle-like crystals, excellent environmental stability and low light- scattering properties. SOLUTION: This glass ceramic material for storing X-ray energy and emitting the stored energy by photostimulation, comprises a fluoride glass matrix containing fine crystal grains, wherein the fine crystal grains have an average grain size (d) that meets the relational expression d<2μm; and in an XRD (X-ray diffraction) spectrum of the glass ceramic material, a continuous spectrum of the fluoride glass matrix and resolved peaks overlapping the continuous spectrum of the matrix, are shown. This fluoride glass matrix preferably contains ions selected from zirconium ion, alkali ions and alkaline earth ions and also, at least 5 mol% of fluoride ion of the matrix is substituted by bromide ion and/or chloride ion, and further, at least 0.01 mol% of a cation(s) selected from transition metal ions, rare earth metal ions, In+, Ga+, Tl+ and Pb+, exists in the matrix.
