PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the probability of success in picking when works stored disorderly are picked by adsorbing with an electromagnetic picking head and to pick works from a store box without leaving works as much as possible. SOLUTION: A head transfer mechanism 5 to move a picking head 3 along three-axial direction above a work store box 1 is provided. On the head transfer mechanism 5, a transversal movement body 7 is installed on a traveling body 6 and a picking head 3 is installed on the transversal movement body 7 possible to elevate. Work detection means 2 to detect storing condition of the work in the work store box 1 is installed on the traveling body 6. The position of the work W on the top is detected and the picking head 3 is moved to the position for picking.
