PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the convenience of the work in a working space having many obstacles by protruding a forward part of a jaw-type head part with respect to a machine body so as to form a space above a work bolding area. SOLUTION: A work W is inserted in a work holding area A of a jaw-type head part 6 of a portable hydraulic puncher 2 from a forward part and positioned, and the work W is machined by a punch 30 provided on the jaw-type head part 6. The machine body 4 is pivotably attached to the jaw-type head part 6 through a rotary shaft, and rotatable in the direction away from the work holding area A from the upright position to the horizontal position. A hydraulic pressure generating mechanism 12 to drive the punch 30 is provided, and the hydraulic pressure generating mechanism 12 has an oil tank to store the working fluid. The oil tank is projected in the horizontal direction with respect to the axis in the longitudinal direction of the machine body 4. A circumferential groove to form a flow passage of the working fluid is formed around the rotary shaft, and the circumferential groove is communicated with the hydraulic pressure generating mechanism 20.
