PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lens hood which can support a photographing lens without deteriorating light shielding performance by constituting a long divided light shielding wall of a fixed wall part, a movable wall part and a wall part connection means movably connecting the movable wall part to the fixed wall part. SOLUTION: The movable wall part 13b is supported by the fixed wall part 13a so that it can be rotated to a light shielding position where a front end supporting surface 20 and a back end surface 21 are brought into contact with each other and a position where the wall part 13b is retreated to the outside circumferential side of the wall part 13a with a hinge pin 18 as a shaft. When a lens barrel for a photographing lens 70 is inverted by making the lens hood 10 face downward from a light shielding state for photographing, the gravity of the lens barrel 70 is added to the wall part 13b and the wall part 13b is moved (turned) to the outside surface of the wall part 13a through a hinge part 15. Then, the front end supporting surface 20 of the wall part 13a is brought into contact with a surface to be placed. Since the hood 10 can self- stand when the supporting surface 20 is exposed at the most front part of the hood 10, the lens barrel 70 can be supported in an inverted state.
