PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adjusting a gain and an offset of a liquid crystal display device simply and precisely setting the gains and the offsets of chrominance signals of R, G and B inputted to the liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The gain and the offset of a video signal inputted from a computer system are initialized maximally and minimally (step S10), and after a base address register is set (step S21) for reading out the stable area data of a block area, the offset is reduced until the read out video signal data become the initialized minimum data to be adjusted (step S23), and when the offset adjustment is ended (step S24), after the base address register is set (step S31) for reading out the stable area data of a white area, the gain is increased until the read out video signal data become the initialized maximum data (step S33) to be adjusted.
