PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity discharging device for an automatic vending machine to effectively prevent the unstable posture of a stored commodity and the reluctant omission or extraction of the commodity in a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A pressing member 24 which can protrude over the top surface of the main body 20 of this commodity dischargi-ng device is mounted on a mobile member 28 which can reciprocate in the front-rear direction of the body 20 having its top surface serving as a commodity placing part. When the member 28 is located at the rear end position of the body 20, the cam mechanisms 24a and 21c function to protrude the member 24 over the top surface of the body 20 to make it face the rear edge part of a commodity. Then the member 24 is forcibly erected and set in a waiting state when the member 28 is located at the rear end position of the body 20 after the discharging of the commodity is over.
