PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize electrostatic chargeability, to retain satisfactory image quality in long-term continuous printing and to enhance low temperature fixability and anti-offsetting property by incorporating a wax comprising a component secreted by a scale insect as a releasing agent. SOLUTION: The toner for nonmagnetic one-component development contains a wax comprising a waxy component secreted by the larva of a scale insect as a releasing agent. The wax contains esters of 22-32C aliphatic monobasic acids such as lingoceric acid, cerotic acid, methylhexacosanoic acid, methylhexacosylic acid and melissic acid as essential components. The wax is obtained by dissolving the secreted component in hot water, separating the upper layer of the resulting solution and solidifying it by cooling or further repeating the operation. A polyester containing an alkylene oxide adduct of bisphenol A as a diol component is preferably used as a resin binder.
|
