Method for starting of a vehicle

The driving method cooperates with a spring-assisted braking system for holding the vehicle stationary, allowing the braking force to be released in dependence on the detected drive torque delivered by the engine. The spring-assisted braking is initiated in dependence on given criteria e.g. the operation of the brake light switch, a clutch switch and/or the vehicle velocity.
