The ingot mould with four sides has large-radius curved corners (4), whose corner radius (4a) is one fifth the shorter side of the rectangular mould. The ingot is formed on the basis of a specific ratio between the radius of the side (3a) of the concave side (3) corresponding to any of the concave internal surfaces (5) in the inlet zone (1a), which is not more than threefold the radius (4a). The mould (1) is used in metals casting.
