PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine provided with an ion removing means capable of prolonging replenishing interval of a regenerant regenerating ion removing capability and preventing waste consumption of the regenerant. SOLUTION: A salt water vessel 31 is provided in an upper part of a cylindrical vessel 30 filled with an ion exchange resin 43, and a salt vessel 32 storing such amount of a salt 42 that allows regeneration for a plurality of times is provided therein. Mesh filters 32c are attached on a bottom face and a side face of a salt vessel 32 and are provided by keeping a clearance from the salt water vessel 31. Water is supplied into the salt water vessel 31 for the first time at the time of washing water supply, and a substantially specified amount of salt is dissolved through the mesh filters in a washing process to generate saturated salt water. Water is supplied for the second time at the time of regeneration after final rinsing to dilute the saturated salt water and generate salt water having a substantially specified concentration, which flows down into an ion exchange resin 43 layer so as to regenerate the ion removing capability of the ion exchange resin 43.
