PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the sure holding of a lead by a method wherein the variation in the dimensions of a chucking body and a lead inserting hole, which may develop though small, is compensated for by a gap. SOLUTION: This chucking body consists of a plurality of chucking pieces 10 and 11, in which a lead inserting hole is formed. The lead inserting hole 16 is extendingly formed near the lead gripping part 18 of a chucking body 4 and further a gap is formed between the inner surface of the intermediate part of the chucking body 4 and the outer surface of the lead inserting hole 16 under the state that the chucking body 4 is closed.
