PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker which prevents sticky matter from blowing out, and which can be of easy structure by facilitating control of heating means. SOLUTION: This rice cooker includes a cylindrical casing 2 for mounting a inner pot 1 therein, a lid 4 supported against the casing 2 in such a way as to be freely opened into a state for opening the top of the inner pot 1 and closed into a state for closing the top, and having an external communicating hole 3 communicating with the outside; and heating means for heating the inner pot 1. The rice cooker is provided with bubble breaking means 14 for breaking bubbles formed in sticky matter generated from the inner pot 1 in the course of rice cooking, by working on the sticky matter before it leaks out through the external communicating hole 3.
