PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the effective treatment and relaxation of the feet, etc., contracting an athlete's foot by forming the above ceramics of ceramic having the characteristics to radiate the far IR rays of a wavelength region including the far IR rays of the wavelength region radiated by the human body and to reflect the wavelength region radiated by the human body. SOLUTION: The far IR ceramics for athlete's foot treatment is formed by using the ceramics having the characteristics to radiate at least the far IR rays of the wavelength region including the far IR rays of the wavelength region radiated by the human body and to reflect the far IR rays of the wavelength region of about 5 to 20μm radiated by at least the human body. The more specific examples of the ceramic for far IR treatment for athlete's foot treatment include composite materials, such as alumina, silica, zirconia and silicon carbide, of which the essential component consists of alumina. The far IR ceramics for athlete's foot treatment which is formed as a planar body with ruggedness on its surface is more adequate as the far IR ceramics for treating athletic foot. This ceramic for athlete's foot treatment is usable for insoles, etc., of shoes.
