PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the ink absorbing capability, print an image of a high grade at a high speed, increase the printing density, and prevent bleeding from occuring in an ink jet recording method for an ink jet printer or protter or the like using a pigment ink. SOLUTION: This recording body is constituted by providing an ink receiving layer containing an amorphous silica of which the oil absorbing amount is 250 ml/100 g or higher and a binder, on a supporting body. In this case, the ink receiving layer further contains a cationic resin of a high cation strength, wherein the cation strength measured by a colloidal titration method is not less than 4.5 m equivalent, and not more than 8 m equivalent. |
